California Special R 18

San Jose BMW is an authorized BMW motorcycle dealership near Santa Clara, California with a history built from AMA National Superbike competition and experience modifying BMW motorcycles to suit the priorities of serious riders from long distance tourers to racers.

The California Special R 18, or CSR18 for short, was a concept intended to take a stock BMW R 18 and make it visually lighter with a mix of vintage and contemporary while paying tribute to the Golden State. The color scheme is a mix of matte and gloss black with highlights of brass and white. It has an aggressive design while maintaining proper design proportions for increased functionality. San Jose BMW used the latest in 3D scanning technology to make a digital copy of the bike to design custom parts and modify the bike down to 0.002 mm.
